Fusion 8 PlasmaPen
A personalised approach to your skin
Discover plasma treatments for the face, body and scalp at AT Beauty Institute. Your journey starts with a consultation to understand your concerns, assess your suitability and create a treatment plan tailored to you.
What is Fusion 8?
Fusion 8 by PlasmaPen is a professional treatment system that brings together different plasma technologies for personalised face, body and scalp treatments.
Plasma is an energised gas. The device uses this energy in different ways, depending on the attachment, settings and concern being treated. Some approaches focus on the skin’s surface, while others use controlled warmth to encourage a repair response and collagen remodelling.
Collagen is a protein that helps give skin its structure and firmness. Changes in collagen as we age can contribute to fine lines and skin laxity.
Fusion 8 offers several treatment options, including Fusion Warm Plasma, Hyper Plasma, Diamond, Derma Plasma Roller and Scalp Plasma. Each has a different role, so your treatment will be selected following an individual assessment.
You don’t need to know which option to choose. During your consultation, I’ll explain which approach may suit your concerns, what results are realistic and what recovery to expect.
Your skin concerns are a helpful starting point. Following a consultation, I may consider Fusion 8 for:
Fine lines and wrinkles
Including concerns around the eyes, upper lip and other facial areas, depending on your individual suitability.
Loss of firmness
Mild skin laxity on the face, neck and selected body areas, including the abdomen and arms.
Uneven skin texture
Rough-looking skin and selected textural concerns, including the appearance of certain acne scars.
Uneven skin tone
Selected pigmentation concerns, following an assessment of their type and cause.
Scalp concerns
A consultation to discuss your scalp and hair concerns and whether Scalp Plasma may be an appropriate option for you.
I will recommend treatment based on your skin, medical history and goals. Results vary, and some concerns may be better suited to a different treatment or medical assessment.

Yes. Your consultation gives me time to assess your concerns, review your medical history and check whether Fusion 8 is suitable for you.
I’ll explain the recommended treatment, realistic results, possible risks, recovery and aftercare. We’ll also discuss the number of appointments you may need and the cost of your plan.
You don’t need to choose a treatment beforehand - I’ll guide you through your options, with time for your questions.
The consultation costs £30, which will be deducted from your treatment price if you decide to go ahead.

Recovery depends on the plasma treatment, its intensity and the area treated. Gentler treatments may involve less visible recovery, while more intensive treatments can cause redness, swelling, tenderness and small surface crusts.
I’ll explain the expected healing time for your recommended treatment during consultation, so you can plan around work, social events and holidays.
You’ll receive personalised aftercare instructions, including when you can resume makeup, active skincare, exercise and swimming. If crusts develop, let them detach naturally without picking or scratching.
Healing varies from person to person, and redness may last beyond the initial recovery period.
-
The number of treatments depends on your concern, the area being treated and how your skin responds. A single appointment followed by a review may be appropriate, while other concerns may need a course.
During your consultation, I’ll explain the recommended number of sessions, the time needed between them and the total planned cost.
Your progress will be reviewed before deciding whether further treatment is appropriate. Results vary, and a particular outcome cannot be guaranteed.
-
Results develop at different rates depending on the treatment and your individual response. Where treatment aims to encourage collagen remodelling, changes develop gradually over the following weeks and months.
Early swelling can temporarily make an area look fuller or smoother, so the appearance immediately after treatment is not the final result.
I’ll explain the expected timeline for your treatment and when to review your progress. The degree of improvement varies between individuals.
-
Not every Fusion 8 treatment is suitable for every person. I’ll assess your skin, medical history, medication and previous treatment experiences before recommending an approach.
Your skin tone and any history of pigmentation changes, unusual scarring or delayed healing are important when choosing the treatment.
Please let me know about any medical conditions, active skin concerns, recent procedures, pregnancy or breastfeeding. Depending on your circumstances, treatment may need to be adapted or postponed, or I may recommend medical advice first.
Your consultation will help us establish whether Fusion 8 is an appropriate choice for you.
-
It’s natural to feel a little nervous about trying something new. What you feel will depend on the treatment mode and the area being treated. You may notice warmth, tingling or some discomfort, particularly with more intensive treatments.
I’ll explain what to expect beforehand and discuss suitable comfort measures with you. During your appointment, please tell me how you’re feeling so I can check your comfort throughout.
-
I want you to feel informed before deciding on treatment, including understanding the possible risks.
Depending on the plasma mode and intensity, you may experience redness, swelling, tenderness, irritation or small surface crusts.
During your consultation, I’ll explain the risks relevant to your skin and the treatment I recommend. Careful assessment and following your aftercare instructions help reduce these risks, but cannot remove them completely.
-
Looking after your skin at home is an important part of your treatment. I’ll give you clear aftercare instructions tailored to the plasma treatment you’ve had.
These will explain how to cleanse and care for the area, how to protect it from the sun, and when you can return to makeup, your usual skincare, exercise and swimming. You may need to pause exfoliating products and avoid heat for a period of time.
If small crusts develop, please let them come away naturally without picking or scratching.
You’ll also know what healing changes to expect and when to seek advice. If you’re unsure about anything, please contact me.

Sometimes, yes. Depending on your skin and goals, I may recommend Fusion 8 as part of a wider treatment plan.
This could include other treatments I offer, but combining treatments does not necessarily mean having them during the same appointment. The order and spacing matter, and your skin may need time to recover between sessions.
I’ll explain why I’m recommending each step and how it fits your goals. You don’t need to book several treatments yourself - we’ll work out an appropriate plan together.

Fusion 8 offers different treatment approaches for a range of skin concerns. Depending on the plasma mode and your individual suitability, these may include:
• Acne-prone and oily skin
• Fine lines and wrinkles
• Mild loss of firmness on the face, neck and selected body areas
• Uneven skin texture
• The appearance of certain acne scars
• Selected pigmentation concerns and uneven skin toneDuring your consultation, we can also discuss:
• Dry or dehydrated skin
• Sensitive skin and redness
• Scalp and hair concernsI’ll assess your skin, listen to your concerns and review your current skincare and any prescribed treatments before recommending an approach.
Active acne, melasma, rosacea, eczema and psoriasis need particular consideration. Plasma treatment does not replace medical care, and I may recommend advice from your GP or dermatologist first, especially for painful, deep or scarring acne.
You don’t need to know which treatment to choose - I’ll explain your options and help you understand what may be appropriate for your skin.
